Snow!

We got some snow today, it was too exciting! As soon as the first few snowflakes dropped Brandon and I ran to Bi-mart and bought some sleds. Hoping it doesn't melt so we can hit the slopes at the farm this week.

The chickens weren't too happy about the snow. Henna is actually roosting tonight under the back patio instead of in her coop. She's right outside the window, watching us. Kinda creepy.

Hunter sledding for the first time!

Brandon pulled her around the front yard for awhile and every time she came back around from a loop she'd say "More" and do the sign for it. We (Brandon, myself, Mark and Teri) were all standing around with the biggest grins in awe of her adorableness.

Snow!

She had to show off her new Pink Floyd shirt from Grandma and Gramps. Soon to come is a Daddy/Daughter duo shot with their Floyd shirts. :)

Friends and hair

Yesterday Hunter and I went to hang with her best bud Lina. They are too cute together now that they are both walking and kinda talking. It was fun for the girls to play and for me to catch up with Tonia and Holly. Need to do that more often!

Today I got my hair cut off and I'll be donating it to Locks of Love for the fourth time. Brandon snapped a picture of me before I went to the hair place.

Then afterwards I had to snap my own picture because Brandon was gone. My new camera lens (YAY!) doesn't really allow for hand holding shots, it's pretty close up. I think I need another lens now. Does Santa make after xmas visits. ;)

I like the haircut though! 12 inches was chopped off! Less brushing, less shampoo and conditoner and less pony tail holders. :) Let the next two year process begin, I'll be donating as long as my hair continues to grow like weeds.

Xmas eve and Xmas day at the farm

We had an awesome xmas eve and full day out at the farm with the fam. Hunter got so many cool things, as did we and we ate way too much food. Good times.

Xmas eve we gave Hunter our gift, a really cool tree tent! She loved it!

Brandon and Erin looking in on Gramps and Hunter in the tree with Grandma T taking a picture.

Family picture in the tree!

Aunt Erin helping Hunter eat some grub.

Then Xmas morning we went over early-ish, had some yummy cinnamon rolls and oatmeal then opened up gifts. Hunter got to go first!

Frying up her new veggies. :)

Playing with her new ball and snowglobe.

She got a dolly from Grandma and Gramps!

Here you can see the super cute thai fisherman pants that Erin got for Hunter from Thailand. They are absolutely adorable on her.

Reading some new books with Daddy.

Drinking some juice with Grandma. Check out the giant plastic Santa in the background. :)

Sophie chilling under Teri's retro xmas tree. That's pretty much what we did the rest of the day; rested and stuff our faces while watching last years xmas video, Four Christmas's and Avatar. :) Then we watched the Blazers game at home, GOOO BLAZERS!!

Hope everyone else had a wonderful xmas time with loved ones!

Sign Language!

I woke up today and decided we needed to make Hunter a sign language book featuring Mommy and Daddy. She knows a few signs like more and please, but I want her to be able to communicate more. So here are just a few of our signs.
I love you!

I love you!

Hat! (That is Brandon's Grandpa Leo's hat)

Ball!

Hunter joined in the fun. Hat!!

More! (not more photos, that's the sign for more) :)

Christmas Hunter goes crazy

Last Saturday we had Dad, Teri, Erin, and Payton over for dinner and making Christmas cookies. During which Hunter dipped into the frosting a little bit and here is the result

Walk in the woods

We went out to the fifteen acres today (out behind the farm) to take our xmas picture. Our day was still filled with great sadness and tears, but we still had a great time walking out in the wilderness. It wasn't a very long walk because it was soooo cold. Brrr. I captured some adorable ones of Hunter with her new Gabba toy, Brobee.

Xmas photos of all of us coming in the mail this week. :)

Clyde

Today we made the hardest decision to put Clyde to sleep. The past week he took a turn for the worse and his light went out. He had his disc rupture surgery six weeks ago and he still was not close to walking. We changed our lifes to be at home to do his physical therapy many times a day and also taking him to the water therapy. He was in good spirits and really trying to walk up until this week, he started to be in a lot of pain. We put him on pain meds, but we could tell he was still hurting and depressed for having been down for so long.

I already miss him so much, he was such a presence in our life. He was a big goof ball that never quite understood just how big he was. He came into my life when he was 12 weeks old in 2001 after I bought my house. I grew up with Great Danes so I had to have one when I got my own house. He was such a great dog and I really hope I gave him a great life. He was annoying and in your face all the time, trying to sit on your lap or lean on you, but you could not help but love the big guy.

I have never lost my own pet and wow, it hurts more than I could have ever thought. I love him so much and he will forever be a best friend to me.

I love you so much buddy.
