We spent some time out at the Case farm last Friday with Mark and Teri. We picked some more blackberries, fed the cows some apples that had fallen from the apple tree (Teri makes the best homemade applesauce from those apples!), sat in the hammock, ate some dilly bars and just chilled. It was a good day.

Bald Peak trip
Today was a tough day for me, just tired and feeling frustrated with having to feed like every ten minutes. Ok, so it's not every 10 minutes, but sometimes it sure feels like it! It'll get better with time I'm sure, but let's just say today was a tough one. To try and cheer me up we took a drive up to get outside away from the neighborhood (I take morning walks to start my getting back into shape, but the neighborhood streets aren't that exciting), we drove up to Bald Peak Park on Bald Peak Mtn, about 15 minutes from our house. Brandon got to carry Hunter in the sling, she was fussy at first but quieted down for the walking around. It was a great day and a beautiful view from up there. I got some cool pictures of a few flowers I thought I'd share too.
I've been pooped on
It's true. It happened about 10 days ago. I never thought or imagined it would happen to me. You've all heard the poop stories, and I'm sure you thought as I. "That will never be me telling a story similar, I'm too quick, I'm just too smart for the poop" I'm here to tell you that you're wrong.
I'd just come back from a nice work out and figured hey, I'll pitch in a little since I've been gone for a while. I gladly take Hunter from Crystal's arms and skip happily to the changing table. Un-do the diaper and start to clean up, when I see it. The little butt hole opens up and spews forth the remnants you see on me. I scream in horror, as Crystal rushes in, she laughs. I hang my head in shame as I"m told to hang on, cause of course we need pictures of this.
Ya know everyone warns you of the pee. I'm here to warn you of the poop. Don't let my tale go unheeded or this could be you or a loved one you know.

The many faces of Hunter so far
My mom has been asking for pictures of her eyes, but it's been hard to really capture them, here is my best one so far.
Here is her gangster sign that she keeps throwing up at us.
She has the silliest face that she gets when she's either farting or crapping herself.
And when she's sleeping sometimes she lets her mouth hang wide open.
This was too precious of a moment to pass up, Hunter holding her daddy's finger. :)

More pictures from the hospital and first days home...
She had her first bath from the nurse. We gave her first bath at home to her yesterday but both our hands were a bit occupied to take any pictures.
Grandpa and Noni Teri (sorry Teri, I don't know how to spell that) came to visit the first day.
Brandon spent a lot of time rocking her and holding her while I got some sleep. He's one hot daddy. :)
Because she was in the womb so long after the water broke she ended up having to have an IV to give her antibiotics. So she didn't pull the IV off her hand they had to be wrap it up in this giant foam thingy. The first few days weren't too fun with that thing on her arm, but it was kinda cute.
Here we are taking her home, this is the first outfit she wore, thanks Bethany! She loved the frogs. :)
I was up and walking around barely. They wanted to put me in a wheelchair to get to the car but I couldn't do that, I got to the car on my own. :)
She actually enjoyed her first car ride, passed right out.
Her Great Aunt Susan came to see her the first day home.
Hunter was passed out in the swing yesterday. She wasn't a big fan of the swing today, but she was fascinated with the mobile on her bassinet this morning. She's slowly starting to focus more on things, I can't wait until she starts interacting!
More pictures to come, we're going to head out for our first walk now. Fun!

Thanks to everyone's congrats!
Thanks to everyone for all the phone calls, emails and texts of congrats, and thanks for understanding my slow response for getting back to you. We checked out of the hospital on Friday morning and these first few days at home have been busy getting used to having a baby in our lives. So fun! But nobody can really prepare you for what it takes, that's for sure. :)
Here are a few more pictures I've taken over the last few days, don't worry there will be a TON more to come!
Yes, those are Star Wars sheets! I just bought them for Brandon and so Hunter had to her first night in the coolest sheets ever! ;)

Hunter Marie Case is finally here
Hunter Marie Case joined us at 4:39am August 6th. It was a tiring few days that didn't include a lot of sleep. Both Hunter and Crystal are doing great. They are giving antibiotics to Hunter every 12 hours to prevent possible infection, but other than that everything is normal and we'll all check out of the birthing center on Friday morning. I'll leave the exact details for another day when I've had a little more sleep (about 5 hours in a 40 hour period) But I'll leave ya with some pictures.

When the fruit is ripe, it'll drop
Yep, stilllll pregnant!!
This picture is kinda funny in that Manda made it way before I was pregnant. I can't remember the story, but I'm sure it was a funny one. But, it works for now because this is exactly how I feel!
We went to our weekly midwife appt yesterday morning and she 'swept my membranes', and sometimes within 72 hours that'll get something going. Nothing yet though. If she doesn't come this weekend our midwife recommends induction on Wednesday. I'm going to avoid induction with drugs if at all possible, so first she wants to try a foley bulb to kick start things. We haven't decided yet if we'll go that route, we're just hoping things start happening this weekend, fingers crossed!!
To get out of the house we're going to the Red Bull Flugtag in Portland today. A bunch of crazy people built contraptions that really can't fly and run them off of a ramp over the water. Should be fun to watch and keep our minds off waiting to start labor.
Oh! I forgot to mention, we've tried everything under the sun to get labor started naturally with no luck... Walking, sexy time, accupressure, massages, relaxation, showers, evening primrose oil, and so on... She's just one stubborn baby and she'll come out when she's ready. I like what Teri's mom Ruby said to me the other day, "When the fruit is ripe, it'll drop". :)
