Wings and Waves

An indoor water park opened up this summer about fifteen minutes from our house in McMinnville called Wings and Waves. I found out that kids under three are free so we decided we needed to take Hunter for free before her 3rd birthday on August 6th. The water park is next to an air museum that actually has the Spruce Goose, the famous airplane/boat built by Howard Hughes. And the waterpark itself has a 747 airplane on top of it where all the slides start from.

It was a bit spendy but totally worth it. We all had so much fun and Hunter did not stop for the five hours we were there. They had plenty to keep her occupied and surprisingly she LOVED the wave pool. The only complaint I had was the strong chlorine smell that really starts to get to your eyes after many hours and the long lines for the big slides. Next time we're going on a week day when all the teenagers are in school.

Leo ended up having a chlorine sensitivity so we couldn't keep him in the water, but he still had fun watching everyone.

I don't know if I could ever go on the blue slide again, so scary! I think my face says it all. It is pitch black through the whole ride and ridiculously fast.

Must go again soon!
