Last Thursday I went in to see if I could hold out longer for an induction and they found that my placenta fluid was too low so they wanted to induce that night. Our midwife decided to try a cervical softening agent before they pumped me full of nasty pitocin and it worked!!! Only three hours of hard labor and he was out. I opted out of meds, although was demanding in the final minutes of birth where of course it was too late. It was amazing to experience it all natural though, after having to be induced with Hunter. It hurt, but I wouldn't take any of the pain back after going through it. Brandon was an amazing coach to help get me throught it.
We have had a few minor issues after birth, but both Leo and I are doing great and we're working together to figure this whole breastfeeding out. Amazing how much you forget only after a couple years. :)

Babymoon
Before we had Hunter we took a babymoon vacation up to San Juan Islands in Washington. We figured we needed to do a babymoon for Leo too. A nice calm before the storm. Grandma and Grandpa watched Hunter for us and we took off for a few nights in Lincoln City on the coast. We got a cute little condo right on the beach and had a nice relaxing few days of not doing much.
You could see the ocean right outside our window. We could even hear the noise of the ocean waves at night.
We had a cozy fire each night. It was really nice with it being so dreary and rainy outside.
We had a fun stop at the beach where Brandon got attacked by seagulls.
It was a great little getaway!

Still waiting...
Leo's due date was November 30th, but almost a week later he's still hangin on in there. We've been trying all the suggestions like walking, sexy time, spicy food, acupuncture, sweeping membranes, rest, beer, massage, begging him, but nothing is working.
The other night even Hunter sat down and was trying to give him a pep talk. She was about two weeks past her due date so she understands what he's going through.
But that didn't work either, so we'll just keep waiting. When the fruit is ripe, it'll drop!
