Spring is in the air!

This past Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous day, perfect for picnicing. Holly, Tonia and Lena met Hunter and I at Champoeg Park near Newberg. Two really cool history things about Champoeg other than it being an amazing place to picnic, walk, bike, camp, yurt, etc.
  • This is the site where Oregon's first provisional government was formed by a historical vote in 1843
  • The past site of an important pioneer town that was swept away in the great Willamette Flood of 1861
But like I said, perfect for a girls picnic. :)

We picked a prime spot where the girls were able to get get away and have some little girl time.

And where they could run around in open fields being little one and a half year olds. :)

And smell the flowers together.
And hang out on a bench together.
They had a GREAT day as did I with Holly and Tonia.
I had to add this picture because even with Lena's signature scowl she is too darn cute!

Hunter and the new chicken

Hunter is finally ok with keeping the shades on her face for more than a few seconds.

I think it's because she can easily take them off herself. I think this picture shows how much she looks like Brandon. Such a Daddy's girl. (Although she has my teeth! Guess braces might be in the plans someday)

We got a new chicken a week ago. The first day Clarice was pretty mean to her, but she's settling in and obviously is feeling good cuz she has been giving us eggs since day 1. Yay!
We haven't named her yet. She kinda looks like she's wet all the time because her red coat is so shiny.
Here is Clarice asserting her "author-eh-TIE" against the new chicken. (Clarice up front, new chicken in back)

And of course Hunter had to get in there with the new chicken and make her feel at home. I think Hunter is giving her best chicken impression here.

Blazer Video

Tuesday night fun

On Tuesday night after work Hunter, Crystal, and I got together with Jaleana for some dinner and a Blazers game. We hit up Red Robin right by the Rose Garden and then walked over. It was a little rainy but it didn't stop us from stopping and posing for some pics. Although I got kinda cut out it's all about the good looking women anyways.

When first getting into the Rose Garden, Hunter wasn't sure what to make of it all. She had this very stoic look on her face for the first 10 - 15 minutes.
Notice Jaleana sticking out her tongue. I'm convinced she was trying to teach her the Michael Jordan concentration technique, which she quickly picked up.
And then of course the clapping and the cheering to follow in the next post.
