Hunter loves blankets and hanging out underneath them!
As obsessed as Cooper is with his tennis balls, he definitely understands that when it's in Hunter's hand you don't take it away quickly. He's working on his own personal growth, being more patient. Good job, Coops.
A big group of us went to see the Blazers a few weeks ago in the nosebleeds. Jaleana, her Aunt, her sister, her Dad, Brandon, Mason, Ryan and Andy. It was really fun and the Blazers won.
Cows = meat. :(

The Allison
Last Saturday we went to an event at the new hotel/spa/restuarant in Newberg. It's fancy ($350/night)! The first of it's kind in wine country. It was a wine tasting event with lots of local wineries and food places to try all in one place. We had to go! Thanks to Grandma Ruby for babysitting. It was a beautiful day and the hotel was amazing!
Clyde the glide
The Clyde saga continued this past weekend...
Last Thursday we got him restiched up from his tumor removal surgery, he got to come home with a cone. Which I took some pictures of and then removed. He couldn't reach his incision so not sure why he even had it. But he was doing great for a few days.
Then on Sunday, all of the sudden he was having a really hard time walking. It progressed over the day and he was eventually in a lot of pain. He was able to walk to the car to take him to our vet, but once we got to the vet he lost all ability to walk. :( He was at our vet for a few days, not improving, so we took him to a neurologist. They did very spendy tests to tell us he had a ruptured disc in his neck that was pushing his spinal cord from the left to the right side. Ouch! We couldn't put him down, he is 8 years old, but he's been so healthy, and knowing there was a surgery that could fix him, that was that. We went for the surgery and $5k ish later he's on his way to recovery! It'll be a tough road, but he's getting better already, only days after surgery.
For Halloween he'll be Frankenstein! :)

He tried to stand up tonight and with all the transporting today he's wiped out. At least he's at home with us though, we're hoping that gives him the motivation to be walking in no time! Send good thoughts!

Hola amigos!
My home pc pooped out last week, blogging with pictures will be on the DL until it gets up and running again.
I think Hunter is growing daily! She's got so many teef, getting so tall, speaking all kinds of things and is just absolutely adorable. Her hair growth should kick in any day now, I hope! :)
Clyde had surgery last week to remove a cyst on the inside of his eyelid and a large fatty tumor on his chest (and get his teef cleaned while under the knife). The surgery went great, but then a week later his stiches ripped open on his chest, had to get them re-stiched this week. Poor guy.
Brandon and I go to Playa Del Carmen for our real honeymoon in two weeks!! We are getting all ready for that. We are very much looking forward to our first flying vacation together. We've driven places for vacation (san juan islands and red woods), but haven't flown. He's in for a treat with my fear of flying! I'm going to miss being away from Hunter for a whole week, but she'll have fun with Mark and Teri, probably won't even miss us. :)

Tree Removal
We had two birch trees in our front yard, that although look nice had died over the course of us living here. They are also pretty close to the house so it's not like being on the farm where you can just cut them up and let them fall where they may. Dad came over with the pruning ladder, chainsaw, and some rope. Let the good times roll.
Once we started in it actually went pretty quick. The longest probably took strategizing where to tie the rope and where to pull from as to not hit the house or Dad on the ladder with a chain saw.
And like any good Sunday project Dad and I padded it a little to allow for a little football time afterwards : )
BTW, Brand and Summer, you both have a large pile of wood to pick through. Might want to bring a truck.

Settlers of Catan
Brandon got me the best board game earlier this year that I've ever played called Settlers of Catan...
We've played this game a total of about 6 or 7 times with friends and ourselves, and as of last weekend I was UNDEFEATED! Then last Friday, I was unfairly ganged up on just so Brandon and his buddy Ryan Svendsen wouldn't lose again to me. You play this game as an individual and they made a guy pact to take me down, they attacked me, took my resources, stopped my production and smirked my way.
It was a tense game... (after Hunter was in bed, of course)
In the end, they unfairly won...

I was very upset... Me=poor loser...
But, just you wait Mr. Svendy, I will take all your sheep next time!! All of them!!

Fall is here!
I've actually been on top of picking up walnuts from our walnut tree in the backyard this year so we're going to have a ton to crack by the fireplace this year! (well, if we can figure out how to use the fireplace)
Jelly Bean out picking the flowers that are still coming up from the remnants of the trampled wildflower garden.
This week I decided to fix and clean the front gutters. It took me longer than expected, and I wish I had a before picture, but they look awesome now. Bring on the rain!
A new addition to the family
We got another chicken this week after finding Taluhla another home where no dogs roam. Heh. She was just too nervous of the dogs, and well, kinda annoying.
We now have another Rhode Island Red who is about 6 months old. And I found two eggs in the nestbox today so I think she's already laying! Her and Clarice had some rough tumbling this morning, but new chicken held her ground and literally pinned Clarice to the ground, so they are good buds now.
Not sure what we'll name her yet. I'd like to call her "BaaaAAAAA" (have to say it very high pitched), that's what Hunter's says when she wants to go outside and see the chickens. It's for "Baaack, Baack". But I'm not sure I want to pretend I'm Mariah Carey every time I say the chickens name. :)

Morning drive to the farm
Hunter is finally 19.5 lbs, which makes her 20 lbs with clothes on, which means she can face forward in her carseat now! No more rear-facing and reaching and fussing (and rear-ending cars while messing with her). I'm sure there will still be fussing, but she can see us now. Snapped a few pics with my camera phone on the way to the farm this morning to drop her off with G-lo...
